The Ponderosa Cabin is a restored
office building that used to set in
Thompson Canyon. In 1956 it was
relocated, by John O. Anderson, to the
ranch and restored as a cabin. It has 2
bedrooms. The living area is also
equipped with a hid-a-bed, so it has the
option to sleep 6. It also features a
large front porch with picnic table.
Tip Top Guest Ranch has several cabins available for nightly rentals. They are rustic with no running water, but
they are modernized with electricity. Water is provided for cooking. They all have wood burning stoves for those
chilly nights, fully functional kitchenettes with microwaves, coffee makers, refrigerators, stoves. They are fully
equipped with cooking and eating utensils. Bedding and linens are also included. See Current Rates for pricing.
The White Cabin has 2
bedrooms, both with full
size beds. It can
comfortably sleep 4. This
was the home of the
Anderson family when they
first moved to the ranch in
1954. The kitchen has an
old fashioned wood burning
stove, conventional stove,
and refridgerator. Take in
the sights from the large
covered porch.
The Hi-De-Ho cabin is by far our most
popular cabin. Often nick-named "The
Honeymoon" cabin, this retired convenience
stand once sat along the Big Thompson
Canyon highway in Loveland. It still has the
original layout of windows on 3 of its sides
where food, such as hot dogs, hamburgers
and soda, were once served.
Remodeled in 2001, the Hi-De-Ho now has 2 bedrooms, both
with full size beds, and a nice kitchen area. The sunny living
room has a wood burning stove. It's location allows for a
secluded hide-a-way where one can leave behind their
troubles and feel very at peace with the beauty of the forest.
All of our cabins are non-smoking, but buckets with sand are supplied on the porches for outdoor smoking. Wood is
supplied at each of the cabins for use in the wood burning stoves. Gas BBQ grills are available for a small fee to cover
the gas. We are a pet friendly establishment; so feel free to bring your K-9 companions. We just ask that you keep
them under control and away from horses; we like to avoid any and all accidents.
Don't worry, this cabin has been retired! This is the
remains of one of the original cabins on the property,
it houses lots of critters now. There are several old
structures like this one still on the property.
Enjoy this cozy, country
kitchen with views of
whispering pines. Warm up
around or cook dinner on the
old fashioned wood burning
cook stove.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, lace curtains, and antique
dresser. The second bedroom features a bunk bed with patchwork quilts.
From the front porch, is this breathtaking view of the
Mummy Range!
In 2008 we added a central bath house between
the Ponderosa and White Cabins for our
overnight guests. Whether staying in our cabins
or camping, enjoy hot showers and flush toilets!
